Founder-led B2B studio

About Bluship

A studio built around the work, not the org chart.

The short version

I've spent my career close to the commercial end of business: selling, marketing, building digital products and working with new technology early. The pattern that kept repeating was that the real problem was rarely the one the company thought it had.

So the work moved upstream. Today it sits across design, growth and technology depending on what the business needs. Sometimes that's a website that finally matches the quality of the company. Sometimes it's a pipeline that produces real conversations with real buyers. Sometimes it's software that removes a bottleneck nobody wanted to look at.

The through-line hasn't changed: understand the business, find what's costing it customers or money, build the thing that moves it forward.

What founder-led buys you

I lead the strategy, the client relationship, the creative direction and the execution. That's a deliberate choice, not a limitation. The work stays close to the person who understood the problem, decisions happen in hours rather than weeks, and nothing gets diluted on its way through three layers of process.

It also means the person designing the site or writing the software has sat on the commercial side of the table. I think about what it costs, what it should return, and how the business will actually sell with it.

When a project needs a specialist (a photographer, a particular engineer, a media buyer), I bring one in and stay accountable for the outcome. You don't inherit a coordination problem.

Working wherever the problem makes sense.

I like working directly with local and regional business owners, and face-to-face still matters. Plenty of the work is remote, with B2B and software clients wherever they are.
